Who we are

This website, movewiseuae.com, is run by MoveWise UAE (“MoveWise”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at cs@movewiseuae.com.

We aim to handle personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other laws that apply to us.

The calculator does not store your answers

Everything you enter into the budget calculator, including your income, is processed in your own browser. It is not sent to us, saved on our servers or linked to you.

What we collect

• Information you send us: your name, email address, mobile number and message when you contact us, sign up for the checklist, or request the full report or an introduction.
• Moving plan survey: if you fill in our moving plan form, your answers about your move (emirate, area, timeline, family size, children’s ages, school, home, budget, visa, income range and the services you need), your mobile number, and your consent choice.
• Order information: if you buy a report, the details needed to deliver it and keep records, such as your name, email and what you bought. Card payments are handled by a payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
• Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.

How we use it

• to reply to your messages and provide what you asked for;
• to send the checklist and occasional price updates, if you signed up (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• to introduce you to a partner, only when you ask us to;
• to keep the website secure and working;
• to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• service providers who help us run the site, such as our web host, email and payment providers;
• partners (movers, insurance brokers, property agents, school advisors), but only the details you agree to share, and only when you ask for an introduction;
• authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UAE. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards allowed under UAE law.

Third-party services on this site

• Google Translate powers the language menu and may set cookies when you use it.
• Google Fonts and Unsplash deliver our fonts and photos, which means your browser connects to their servers.
• Google Analytics and Google Search Console help us understand how many people visit, which pages they use and how they find us. We see this as statistics, not as information about you personally.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and contact details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. Order records are kept for as long as UAE tax and accounting rules require. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• correct it if it is wrong;
• delete it, or limit how we use it;
• stop using it for marketing;
• withdraw any consent you gave.

Email cs@movewiseuae.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No website can be completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive documents such as passport or Emirates ID copies by email unless we ask for them.

Children

This website is meant for adults planning a move. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
